Waste & Recycling Expo Canada 2021 Edition Rescheduled

Jun. 11, 2021

Closed borders, travel restrictions impact the 2021 edition

The organizers of Waste & Recycling Expo Canada, Messe Frankfurt Inc. and Newcom Media, announced the postponement of the 2021 edition, originally scheduled for September 14 - 15, due to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

After strategic conversations with representatives from the show’s key exhibiting groups and industry leaders, it was the decision of the stakeholders to reschedule the show in the best interest of the industry as a whole.  The event will now be held September 27 – 28, 2022 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Canada.

Waste & Recycling Expo Canada serves the waste, recycling and public works markets across North America, with global participation from Europe and Asia.  Interest and exhibit space reservations for the 2021 edition were high, however it became clear that the travel restrictions and closed borders among other uncertainties surrounding the global pandemic would have a substantial impact on the ability of participants to attend.

“Although it is a tough decision to make, we are confident that rescheduling will allow us to provide the quality experience and return on investment our exhibitors and visitors are seeking,” said Thierry Quagliata, Show Manager, Waste & Recycling Expo Canada.
