This year’s program included a full two day educational session with an additional one day of waste sector facility tours and several networking opportunities including the Welcome Gala Reception and the Executive/Professional of the Year Awards dinner.

"The Toronto show was one of the best with over 300 delegates in attendance. Praises go out for networking events
Canadian Waste & Recycling Expo and the Canadian Waste to Resource Conference joined forces to produce the 1st annual opening gala reception this year in Toronto. Exhibitors and attendees alike utilized the opportunity to connect with colleagues and network in a relaxing atmosphere.

"CWRE provides a great opportunity to meet with new vendors, old acquaintances and waste industry friends," says D. Trevor Barton, Supervisor, Waste Program Planning, Region of Peel.

In addition, CWRC rolled out the red carpet with the 2nd annual Canadian Executive of the Year Awards, which celebrated the high achievements, long-standing dedication and excellence of professionals in the industry. Those companies and individuals that were honoured have led the way in contributions and improvements to the environment and economy.

New Name – Same Show
At this year’s event, Canadian Waste & Recycling Expo announced its new name – Waste & Recycling Expo Canada. This change was due mainly to achieve brand consistency across the Environmental portfolio produced by Messe Frankfurt. To ensure that supporters of the show will not experience any lapse in service, the acronym and web site address will remain the same.

Continuing to expand its reach, CWRE will be joined with another co-located event in 2015. The Municipal Equipment Expo Canada will be held November 4 – 5 in the same venue. This show will connect equipment manufacturers and service providers with municipalities and government agencies within the public works markets. For more details, visit www.municipalexpo.ca

The 18th edition of Waste & Recycling Expo Canada will take place November 4 – 5, 2015 at the Palais des Congrès in Montréal, Quebec. Find more information about this event, please visit www.cwre.ca
