Show floor is 80% sold out with key manufacturers showcasing the latest products and services

The 15th edition of the Canadian Waste & Recycling Expo will return to the International Centre in Toronto this November with a week of industry focused activities

In cooperation with CWRE, the Ontario Waste Management Association, Compost Council of Canada, and the Council of Environmental Services Industry will be hosting several events throughout the week of November 12 - 15.  Anticipating the largest event in its history, CWRE has more than 80% of the show floor sold. Exhibiting companies from across the globe, including Italy, The Netherlands and United States have already reserved their space.

Product categories will include composting systems, scrap recycling, public works, landfill operations, transfer stations, recycling equipment, trucks & heavy equipment, waste treatment, software and more.  Addressing the ever-growing issue of waste management, collection and recycling, the 2012 Canadian Waste & Recycling Expo will attract serious buyers from the private industry as well as the federal, provincial and municipal governments.

In addition to the exhibits, various networking opportunities will be held during the event.  The Compost Council of Canada will host their annual luncheon on Wednesday, November 14.  Featured speaker, Lambert Otten,  Professor Emeritus, University of Guelph and Technical Advisor, The Compost Council of Canada will focus his presentation on Organics Recycling & Compost...Shifting Waste Management Priorities to the Environment and Diversion.   

Otten’s general research interest is in the area of Transport Phenomena applied to biological systems, environmental systems and agriculture. He also has extensive research experience in grain drying and storage, application of solar energy in agriculture, use of microwaves to provide supplemental heat to chicks and piglets and to treat hypothermia in neonatal animals, biological treatment of organic wastes, biofiltration, and odour control.

The Council of Environmental Services Industry and the Ontario Waste Management Association will present the CEO of the Year Award during their luncheon on Thursday, November 15.  This event will serve as an opportunity to honor waste management professionals serving our community.
