Show floor nearly sold out with key manufacturers showcasing the latest products and services

Canadian Waste Sector Symposium gearing up for 4th edition presented at CWRE

Canadian Waste & Recycling Expo (CWRE), Canada’s only trade event serving the waste, recycling and public works markets is anticipating another dynamic event with the show floor nearly sold out with only a few weeks before the show. The 16th edition will be held in Montreal, Quebec, November 20 - 21, 2013, for the second time in the show’s history.

With the increase of key companies participating in the trade show, CWRE continues to solidify its position as a critical component in the waste management and recycling marketplace. This list includes market leaders such as London Machinery, DURABAC, Labrie Envi-roquip Group, Mack Trucks Canada, Palfinger North America Group, Peterbilt of Canada, Progressive Waste Solutions / BFI Can-ada Inc and Universal Handling Equipment Company. With everything from storage systems and transportation to recycling, public works, construction/demolition, landfill operations, composting services and waste treatment, Canadian Waste & Recycling Expo will cover the entire industry reaching an audience of industry professionals from across Canada and beyond.

The 2013 Canadian Waste Sector Symposium (CWSS) serves as a forum for the discussion of waste sector policy and technology, topics including Hazardous Waste Management, Organics Waste Management, Green Energy, Green Management of Waste, Waste Disposal and Transfer and more. This edition will be produced by Ontario Waste Management Association (OWMA) in partnership with Reseau Environnement and the Conseil des Entreprises de Services Environnementaux (CESE).

This program will host a number of educational discussions presented by industry experts from companies such as Golder Associates, Metro Vancouver and the Environmental Services Association, featured topics cover EPR Programs, Emergency Preparedness, Thermal Technologies, Biogas Production, Energy Recovery and more.

Attractive to management at any level, the sessions will consist of interactive workshops and speakers focused on the future of the industry, leadership skills, waste management challenges, case studies and implementation of best practices.

CWSS will coordinate a half day tour of leading waste disposal & recycling facilities in Montreal and the surrounding area that transfer, manage, process and dispose of a variety of materials from both the Residential stream and the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) sectors. In addition to broad range of products and services on display, networking opportunities will also be held throughout the event including the Compost Council of Canada luncheon featuring expert speakers on the subject of organics recycling and compost. This year’s luncheon presentation will highlight Technical Advancements & Municipal Solid Waste Organics Processing.

An in-depth review of the many options available including the science & art of successful organics recycling. This will be presented by the lead team for Environment Canada’s Technical Document on Municipal Solid Waste Organics Processing: Scott Gamble and Tom Kraemer of CH2M Hill.

Also held during CWRE will be EnviroLys, produced by the Council of Environmental Services Industry. EnviroLys is a unique opportunity to recognize the entrepreneurship and innovation of the builders of the environmental services industry, the winners will be announced at a gala evening that will bring together nearly 200 people on November 18, 2013.

Hosted by the Ontario Waste Management Association, the 1st Annual Canadian Waste Management Awards is being held in conjunction with the Canadian Waste & Recycling Expo. The Canadian "Executive of the Year" Award will recognize outstanding individuals who play a key role in the growth of the waste sector services industry in Canada.
